COVID-19 Update

We're all in this together.

We're aware that many of you are trying to cope with COVID-19. One way that many are coping with limiting their exposure to others is by staying at home. Some have taken to playing croquet in their backyard. There are many croquet clubs that are still allowing croquet to be played on the lawns but with limitations. Many are requiring their members to bring their own mallets & balls to avoid cross-contamination.

The Government of Ontario has provided guidelines for those businesses that may remain open during this time. As a manufacturer with no public traffic, Oakley Woods Croquet has been allowed to continue operating.

Additionally, we are taking precautions to ensure safe operations. These include;

1) Keeping Our Facility Safe and Healthy

Our production staff are taking all steps necessary to ensure that we remain healthy and that we can respond to your orders. They include twice daily cleaning, working from home where possible and flexible shifts of employees to minimize contact with each other.

2) Reducing External Contact

Our shop is currently closed to walk-in customers. We will continue to honour local order pickup, but we ask that you call ahead to book a time, and your order will be placed in a secure location so you do not have to come in contact with our staff when picking up your order.

3) Inventory and Shipping Orders.

We continue to work with our vendors to ensure we have raw materials to continue making your equipment. Also, we have sufficient stock of those finished goods that we get from outside vendors for our expected demand. That will ensure any disruption is minimized.

4) Working with Delivery Partners

Both UPS and the Post office have updated their operations as part of the pandemic response.

They have waived the requirement for signatures and will leave parcels at your front door as long as the driver feels it is safe to do so (i.e. a private home, an apartment with a designated concierge, etc). If they feel it's not safe to leave they route your parcel to a local pick-up centre. If you have any questions about your parcel delivery, please feel free to contact us.

Finally, we have one request for you - please take care. Take care of yourself, your loved ones and your neighbors.

In these unprecedented times, we're so grateful to see people reaching out to help one another. We are doing what we can to serve you while reducing the transmission of COVID-19.

May you stay positive and test negative,

- Don Oakley, Owner

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you still shipping?

Yes! Our warehouse continues to ship orders daily from Monday to Friday and most orders in the Greater Toronto Area arrive next day.

What will happen if parcel delivery stops in Canada or USA?

Please note that this is still very unlikely, as mail service has continued even in the hardest hit areas of the world during the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, in the case that mail or parcel delivery service is halted in Canada, we will not be able to ship orders. We will make every effort to ship orders immediately as soon as mail service resumes.
